Presentation:

The new infrastructure of the central library of the University of Mascara is at the new university pole of Sidi said.

This building was received by the library administration on June and inaugurated on July 2013.

The UCL  building is three levels a RDCH and a basement. Its capacity is 1000 seats.

– 02 open access reading rooms.

– 04 reading rooms.

– 01 periodical room.

– 02 high-speed internet rooms with a capacity of 40 seats.

– 01 amphitheatre with a capacity of 187 seats equipped with audio-visual equipment.

The other rooms are reserved for administrative and technical use.

The library is managed by specialized staff based on a computerized system ILMS (Integrated Library Management System)

To better structured and organized our documentary background we opted for the decimal classification DEWEY (CDD) given:

1- Its clarity and legibility (a group of numbers that reread a block is much more easily retained than a group of alphabetical letters).

2- The numbers are universally used.

3- The CDD has the advantage of being expansive that is to say the ease of introducing new concepts.
